California, MO, man charged for pouring boiling water over woman

A California, MO, man has been charged after being accused of severely burning a woman with boiling water.

Cole County prosecutors charged James Lamore Glass with First Degree Domestic Assault, Sodomy, Kidnapping, and Endangering the Welfare of a Child.

Court documents state that, on Monday, a woman called 911, saying Glass had poured boiling water on her several times, and then took her car and her phone before leaving for his job.

Cole County deputies took the woman to the hospital, where she was treated for second-degree burns over much of her body.

The woman said Glass set up cameras pointing at the doors to the residence, so she had to crawl out of a bedroom window to escape.

The woman’s seven-year-old child also witnessed the attack.

Law enforcement arrested Glass at his job in Callaway County.

Glass was being held at the Cole County jail, without bond.
